BACKGROUND

The International Conference of Deaf Muslims (ICDM) is an organization operated by the Global Deaf Muslim Federation (GDMF). The ICDM was created with the purpose to support the Deaf Muslims within the Muslim community to access and network with clerics, organizations and technologies around the world in order to advance the knowledge of Deaf Muslims.

CONFERENCE HISTORY

NOVEMBER 2022

The fourth ICDM will be held in Banjul, The Gambia in November 2022 with the cooperation of Gambian Deaf Muslim Association (ADMG), the theme of this event is Deaf Muslims: Social Media & Technology.

NOVEMBER 2019

The third ICDM was held in Jakarta, Indonesia in November 2019 with the cooperation of Indonesian Deaf Muslim Association (MTTI), the theme of event was The Beauty of Islam Through Sign Language.

NOVEMBER 2016

The second ICDM was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2016 with the cooperation of Malaysian Deaf Muslim Association (PRISMA), the theme of event was Deaf in Islam: Our Community, Our Future.

NOVEMBER 2013

The first ICDM was held in Doha, Qatar in November 2013 with the cooperation of The Qatari Center of Social Cultural for the Deaf (QCSCD).
